Health Benefits

Full time employees at Georgian Bay General Hospital (GBGH) are offered a cost-shared benefit package which includes Semi-Private, Dental and Extended Health Care coverage through Green Shield Canada

Insurance Benefits

Full time employees are offered Disability and Life Insurance benefits. There is also the opportunity to take advantage of group rates for additional Optional Life Insurance for themselves and their spouse.

Part time and Casual employees receive an additional percentage of their earnings in lieu of health and insurance benefits.

Employee Assistance

GBGH provides all employees as well as their eligible dependants the support of an Employee Assistance Program. This service is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and offers confidential counselling and referral service provided through ComPsych.

Pension

GBGH offers enrolment in Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) to all full time and eligible part time and casual employees. More details on HOOPP and its provisions are available at HOOPP.
