Ambulatory Care
Outpatient Services
The Ambulatory Care team is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care to the clients of the North Simcoe County area, both outpatients and inpatients. These services are provided by an integrated health care team which includes physicians, registered nurses, registered practical nurses, pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostic imaging and physiotherapy. The team is supported by other departments including registration, volunteers, central supply, laundry, housekeeping and dietary services.
Please Note: If you are coming to the hospital for an appointment in the Ambulatory Care Department you must arrive 30 minutes early to register. The hospital has a central registration system that provides all registration in the main lobby.
Ambulatory Care is located on the lower level at the Midland site and is accessible via the stairs in the main lobby or the elevator.
Dialysis Services
The Georgian Bay General Hospital operates a nine-station dialysis unit at 611 Prospect Boulevard. This satellite unit of the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital regional dialysis program provides dialysis treatment and support to patients receiving hemodialysis who reside in the North Simcoe area.
